Weekly Rant - The "F" Word, Part 2 of 2

Created by Chet Gladkowski at 06 May 2013 @ 14:01

Last week I dropped hundreds of "F-Bombs" that no one likes to say. In this weeks rant I drop a different "F-Bomb" that everybody says all the time!

WARNING!!! I'm going to drop hundreds of "F-Bombs" in this weekly rant about the insurance technology marketplace. Content may be unsuitable for some, especially those with a weak heart, back problems, do not like enclosed spaces, spinning, or are prone to motion sickness, nausea, headache, dizziness or disorientation, prone to motion sickness, or who have a headache or an inner ear problem, or who have a history of migraines, vertigo or elevated anxiety.

To get the juices flowing, watch and join in on the conversation.

Many thanks Steven for your kind words of encouragement, I really appreciate your support. These are fun to do and have created some interesting connections and relationships. I even got an article published out of it!
Yes Jeff - they look at getting something for nothing like a personal "red badge of courage." But these same people they get all bent out of shape if someone tries the exact same thing on them.
Chet - these rants are my favorite weekly posts! Love the effort you put into getting your message across.
Great quote Chet! Like Allen, I have met many buyers who pride themselves on stealing (figuratively) from vendors, and many vendors who pride themselves on deceiving buyers with "not so free" offers.
You are right Kira. The small businessman is smart; he realizes there's no free lunch. On the other hand, he knows where to go to get a good inexpensive sandwich. Adam Osborne
We all have fallen for the "free" trick before. Nothing is ever really free.
if you don't pay for it, then you diminish its value
Good observations again Chet. Carriers, MGAs and Agents seem to take pride in getting "something for nothing". I hear my peers discussing how much they can "get" from vendors in terms of free consulting, or free information, or even sometimes free upgrades and customizations. Seems to be kind of a game to them.
