Google has integrated a basic yet compelling service called IFTTT. It's pronounced like "gift" but without the g and stands for IF This Then That. IFTTT lets you create powerful connections with one simple statement — if this then that. Without any programming or complex configuration you can set up rules to help you manage data and your life. Here are a few simple examples;

  • when i post a status to facebook, publish it on wordpress
  • Email photo attachments to Tumblr and create photo posts
  • Get Notification of any Blogger blog comments via SMS

As you can see, its both straightforward, simple and based on natural language. Just the kind of thing that insurance agents and carriers need to validate data and automate redundant tasks.

What IFTTT rules would you add to your system today (if you could?)

Wow this is cool. Has anyone had any experience with this yet?
